Sky Bet are offering a plethora of markets for the Tour de France which gets underway on Saturday. The race sees the return of the seven-time winner Lance Armstrong following a four year hiatus. The Texan is 3/1 to return and claim his eighth Maillot Jaune title.
The race also features the British quartet of Mark Cavendish, David Millar, Bradley Wiggins and Charlie Wegelius.
Cavendish, who is regarded as the best sprinter in the world of cycling is 4/5 to win the Green Jersey. Cavendish also has a chance of bettering last year's achievement of winning four stages, and Sky Bet are offering 2/1 he wins over 4.5 stages. It's 4/11 he wins under 4.5 stages and 100/30 he doesn't record a stage victory.
With the distinct probability that the race could be wide open until the second to last stage on the infamous Mont Ventoux in the Alps, there are a number of riders who will feel they can take the title from the defending champion Carlos Sastre, who is 20/1 to retain his title. Among these will be the Luxembourg's Andy Schleck, who is progressing year-on-year into a genuine challenger, and is 13/2 with Sky Bet to win this year.
Widely regarded as the best Grand Tour rider at the moment Alberto Contador, a team mate of Armstrong, and winner in 2007, is the short priced favourite at 10/11 to win another Maillot Jaune title.
